Clear to see the postcards and to read the stories of Vanamuthu, Shakti Priya, Roopa, Aarvind, and Sahana.
The Self-Worth Postcard Campaign for 2025 is here! The theme for this year is Progress, Not Perfection.
This year, it’s led by Ms. Ashwini, our Program Coordinator from Mysore. With Progress, Not Perfection as the theme, we believe that any step in the right direction is progress. Whether big or small, each effort matters. Self-Worth isn’t discovered by being flawless—it’s found in each step forward despite the imperfections, never fully knowing what waits on the other sdie of the next step.
Creating a batch for our programs was more challenging than I expected. I wanted a structured, well-balanced group, but finding the right people wasn’t easy. Instead of waiting for the perfect team, I started by having each person refer someone they knew. The group isn’t ideal, but it’s a start. Progress happened, even if perfection didn’t.
One of our students, Mr. Adhi, has always struggled in academics. In Hidden Treasure, he usually listens quietly, rarely speaking up. But this time, he added his own points in English—something he had never done before. His thoughts weren’t perfectly articulated, but they were his. It was slow progress, but it was real progress.
Perfection is an illusion that holds us back. Progress, on the other hand, happens when we step forward despite the flaws. Imperfect action is always better than waiting for a flawless start.
