Identity
Young people are busy working out who they are and where they fit in the world. You might notice them trying out new things like clothing styles, music, art, or friendship groups. Friends, family, media and culture are some of the influences on their choices in these years.
Responsibility ( Social Action)
Teens and Youths might be keen to take on more responsibility both at home and at school. This could include things like leader of school and college groups. Sometimes they need to be encouraged towards accepting more responsibility.
Values ( Values of apply themselves)
This is the time teens and youths start to develop a stronger individual set of values and morals. They will question more things. Your words and actions help shape their sense of right and wrong.
Emotional changes in Teens and youths
Self-Worth
Teens and youths self-esteem is often affected by others opinion of them. As their identity, they feel self-conscious about their physical appearance. They might also compare their body with those of friends and peers. They need to disconnect their self-worth from this kind of comparison.
Decision-making (Setting a Goal)
Teens and Youths go through a stage in life where they seem to act without thinking their decisions through. Their decision-making skills are still developing, and they’re still learning that actions have consequences and even risks sometimes.
